When You Arrive: Speakers

QUEST TORONTO Speakers... When you arrive!

Thank you for your participation in the QUEST Toronto Conference.  Following are important details about the conference that you need to know.

The directions to the Hilton Toronto Hotel can be found at http://www.qaiquest.org/toronto/hotel.html. Parking is available near the hotel at a cost of $30 per day with in and out privileges.

On-Site Registration

Please check-in at the speaker registration desk for your speaker registrant's package, breakfast coupons (used for Monday & Tuesday mornings only), and you speaker name badge. The registration desk will be open daily beginning at 7:00 AM in the Convention Foyer on the lower level. It will also be open on Tuesday evening until 6:00 PM during the Welcome Reception.

Audio Visual Equipment

All track breakout room and general session rooms contain a Lapel Microphone, QAI Laptop Computer, LCD Projector, Projection Screen, and Flip Chart with markers (Flip charts are not provided for General Session room).  Speakers' presentations will be pre-loaded on the QAI conference laptop computers for your convenience. QAI does not provide Internet connectivity for use in showing your presentation. Speakers who are giving product demonstrations or service presentations in the QUEST EXPO Theatre MUST bring their own laptop computers.

Track Host

Please arrive at your meeting room a minimum of 10 minutes early to meet your  track host.  A volunteer track host will be in your breakout room or EXPO Theatre to assist you in getting set-up for your presentation. The Track Host will introduce you, distribute handouts, and collect the completed evaluation forms. The Track Host will have a flash drive that contains your PowerPoint presentation as a backup.

To be environmental friendly, copies of presentation slides WILL NOT be distributed in the track breakout sessions nor the EXPO Theatre. Handouts will only be provided to the attendees for the Monday and Tuesday tutorials and the keynote presentations. Conference attendees have the option to print PDF's of the session presentations (Wednesday through Friday) from a secured page of the QUEST Toronto website and  may bring their own handouts to the conference. If you have changes or additional handouts, please make sufficient copies and bring them with you. Please contact Francine Chase at fchase@qaiworldwide.org or at   he Hilton Toronto Hotel has a Business Center on-site that you can use at your own expense.

Presentation Introduction

Please arrive at your meeting room 10 minutes prior to your start time.  The Track Host will introduce you before you begin your presentation based on the preference that you designated  on your registration form and will explain if you want to address questions during or after your presentation.

Coaching Sessions

If you have agreed to meet one-on-one with individuals who want to have a discussion with you on the area of your expertise, you will be contacted by cell phone to arrange a time for the coaching session through the QAI staff at the registration desk.

Emergency Contact

In case you encounter a problem in arriving at the hotel in time for your presentation, please call Francine Chase, Conference Manager at 407-353-1796 or the main QAI office toll free at 866-724-6013 and the receptionist will notify the QAI staff on-site at the Hilton regarding your situation.

Dress Code

Professional dress attire is requested for speakers when giving their presentations.  Otherwise the dress attire for attending the conference sessions and networking events is business casual.  Meeting room temperatures can fluctuate so it is also recommended you bring a jacket or sweater with you to the conference sessions.
