During his career he served as VP of Engineering for a startup that delivered to market one of the first Integrated Access Devices culminating in a $500M acquisition of the company by Nortel Networks. He later led a team of over 500 Engineers at Juniper Networks designing and testing complex Routing products. He worked as an independent R&D consultant to early stage startups, helping them develop their strategy and operational models. Mr. Vaughan is currently VP of System Verification and Test for Sonus Networks delivering VoIP solutions. He received a Masters in Systems Engineering from Boston University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

After finishing her PhD in Physics at Stockholm University, Christin Wiedemann began working as a software developer. Christin soon discovered that software testing was more challenging and joined the Swedish testing company AddQ Consulting. There, she worked as a tester, test lead and trainer, giving courses on agile testing, test design and exploratory testing throughout Europe. Christin developed a course on exploratory testing and is a co-creator of the exploratory testing approach xBTM. In late 2011, Christin moved to Vancouver, where she joined Professional Quality Assurance (PQA) Ltd. In her roles as tester, test lead, trainer and speaker, Christin uses her scientific background and pedagogic abilities to continually develop her own skills and those of others.

His areas of expertise encompass management experience in methods and metrics, quality integration, quality assurance and the application of the SEI’s CMMI® to achieve process improvements. Tom is currently on the Board of Directors of the International Function Point Users Group. Todd has held a number of senior technology, software and business leadership roles spanning the SDLC market. He has spent the last decade helping the largest names in finance, media, manufacturing, retail, and major Government agencies deliver mission critical applications. In his current role as Director of Business Development for Mobile Labs, LLC, an innovator in the mobile testing space, providing next-generation mobile app testing and device access management solutions in a private cloud, Todd extends his SDLC knowledge to mobile testing. Previously, Todd held positions with Shunra , Dun and Bradstreet and Borland Software. While at Borland, Todd recognized the evolving role of QA during their acquisition of Segue Software in 2006. From that point forward, Todd’s focus has been on helping organizations both large and small improve efficiency, security, and mobile app quality.

Vic Soder is a Director with Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Systems Integration service line, with over 20 years of experience in Deloitte’s Technology practices. He leads Deloitte’s national Application Performance Center of Expertise, specializing in application performance, system sizing, and capacity planning advisory services. Vic has provided performance and capacity planning services to a wide variety of large clients in multiple industries. He previously worked in positions with Boole & Babbage and the Institute for Software Engineering, and holds a B.S. degree in Mathematical Sciences from Stanford University.

Vinkesh Mehta is a Specialist Leader in Deloitte’s Technology Practice. He has 26 years of software industry experience building robust and high performance software systems from OS to end-user applications. He currently works on a large public sector project where he has redesigned batch, online, and web services to achieve 10x or higher performance. His current focus is performance analysis, optimization, testing, monitoring and capacity planning. As a member of the OASIS consortium, Vinkesh has contributed toward the development of several SOA standards. He has published papers and has patent in the area of business process management and SOA. Vinkesh has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Bombay.

Xan Daniels has over 15 years of HR Consulting and software implementation experience. As Leader of the Implementation Shared Services Testing organization, it is Xan’s responsibility to define and develop the role of the testing function within Aon Hewitt’s HR Business Process Outsourcing practice. The primary objective of ISS Testing is to deploy a robust and cost-effective testing framework that builds on best practices and can be leveraged across client implementations. Additionally, Xan is responsible for building a high performance testing organization by establishing the infrastructure and proficiency to support the current testing framework.
